We’re doing a CASTING CALL!
Ad Read is a bizarre dark satire fiction podcast going into our third season. These roles are non-paying, and we will give preference to actors and comedians who are relatively new to voice acting.
Helping new actors get clips for a demo reel is in no way equal payment for the work you will do, but we’d rather help someone in some way than not. But let us be clear that you would be doing us the favor and not the other way around.

About Us:
-We are a dark and often extremely strange satirical podcast
-We’ve made two complete seasons so far
-Our seasons are composed of 23 episodes, about 20-40 minutes in length
-There is no compensation at this time, and we cannot promise any in the future
-All parts are recorded remotely and separate from other actors
-All accents welcome
Role 1 – Miscellaneous Characters
-Open to female and nonbinary actors (we’re full up on dudes, sorry!)
-You will play a variety of characters/situations
-Perfect for someone to test different voices and situations
To audition for this role, send a demo reel showcasing your versatility as a voice actor. You can send a general reel you already have or record the following line using several different voices and moods:

Feel free to ad lib additional lines if you feel a character/voice requires it.

Role 2 – Cassandra
-Open to female actors and nonbinary actors who are comfortable playing a female role
-Cassandra is a semi-sociopathic 13 year old girl looking for her missing friend
-Perfect for anyone who wants to play one part over the course of a season
To audition for this role, record the following line how you would play Cassandra (you can send as many interpretations of how you would play her as you like):

You are not my parents.
(A PAUSE)
